Dog Blog

No, we did not get a dog. We don't need to. We live in the Beaches, Toronto's doggiest neighbourhood.

We did, however, get a new digital SLR, and today we took it for a walk on the beach. Along with all the dogs.

The rapid shutter response is amazing -- I was really able to capture this Hungarian Viszla in action. Look at those tocks. What a beautiful, muscular animal.

Pure, unadulterated canine energy.

And pure joy in the leap. He was too fast for my shutter speed here!

The Beach is also full of runners. Like this guy and his dog (another Viszla), who have matching outfits. Sweet.

We saw a small white spitz dog running along the boardwalk, leaping up into the air for most of his walk until he met a Golden buddy, and they commenced to making out.

The spitz is a Shiba Inu -- it's almost like a cross between a dog and cat.

It got a little rough at times but overall was fun and games.

Then they met a few more pals, and it was a butt-fest.

It's a dog's life.
