When Harry Met Katie

Our goddaughter Kate came for a visit Saturday night. (Her parents came too, but to tell the truth, they were incidental.) Wee Kate hoped to get up close and personal with the kittykats, and there was some quality contact with Daisy. But when Harry met Katie it was more like a schoolyard chase, and guess who was doing the squealing? (See my earlier note on the social -or perhaps veterinary- construction of feline gender.)

This action photo is not from the chase but I'm pretty sure it's an accurate representation of Harry's POV:

It wasn't all hijinks. There was also time to share quality literature:

We read Good Night Moon several times but someone didn't want the fun to end.

Well, maybe neither of us did.
